19265 minReleased
A vaudeville sketch act set in Roman era. A servant woman dances but is sent away by Emperor Caesar, who is continuously hailed by his personal assistant. Jimmy Nervo and Teddy Knox (later of The Crazy Gang comedy team) come in to entertain the emperor by performing a slapstick comedy dance. An early sound film, using Phonofilm with spoken gags by Caesar and his entourage take place largely throughout. The BFI print appears to be edited with parts in the wrong order.
